About the Role

We are now looking for a Test Automation Engineer in Python with more than 4 years experience for one of our important clients. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the development of the next generation infotainment system. You must be detail oriented as well as understand the concept of quality in software. The work will be performed within a cross-functional team and will have dependencies with other teams as well.


Responsibilities

As a Test Automation Engineer, you will have hands-on knowledge of working with various tools, have strong analytical skills, are able to evaluate complex problems and also suggest feasible solutions.


You will be curious, have an analytical mindset and will play a critical role in ensuring that the clients software products have the highest quality. You will also be able to coach and guide the team in testing and all aspects of quality from a testing perspective.


You will also be able to:

  • Ensure testability during the software development lifecycle,

  • Write and guide the team to write test cases

  • Automate tests for regression testing.

  • Verify and validate the product

  • Identify and do root cause analysis on identified issues.


Must have competence/experience

  • Master’s degree in Software Engineering or equivalent.

  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

  • Minimum of 4 years experience as a Test Automation Engineer.

  • Previous experience in quality assurance of complex embedded systems and familiarity with tools such as CANoe, Jenkins, and/or the Robot Framework.

  • Valid Swedish drivers licence(B).

  • Hands-on experience with Test automation using python.


Good-to-have competence

  • Fluent in Swedish (optional).

  • Experience in infotainment systems such as instrument cluster, HMI, connectivity, telematics, audio, Bluetooth, navigation, speech, and displays will be viewed as meritorious

  • Knowledge of Elektra, CarCom, or SystemWeaver will also be considered a plus.

  • Experience in test automation, programming, or model-based development/testing ismeritorious.
